ARTIST STATEMENT

I am fascinated by the intricate systems of neuroscience that underlie our biology. Much of this intricacy exists beyond the visible - hidden within microscopic patterns, cellular architectures, and neural networks that quietly sustain life. Through mixed media processes, including painting, printmaking, sculpture, metalwork, and installation, I explore the structural and aesthetic parallels between organic systems and scientific innovation. Using biomorphic abstraction, tactile materials, and the repurposing of scientific material and imagery, I amplify visual experiences of the scientific research environment with wider audiences, highlighting not only the ethical and conceptual dimensions of scientific inquiry, but also the visual and aesthetic beauty inherent to the process of research itself.
